As part of its presentational reconstruction here, Tampa Rail is going to be relying a lot more on Web 2.0 type places to maintain its content. As the Skittles people are now discovering and acting on, the Web's content has become so individual, time in unique content development, particularly for small operations like this, has to be merited carefully.

Tampa Rail on Facebook (and SunRail).
Part of this is developing the Tampa Rail Facebook Group. The group currently has 182 members. It would be cool if in the next week we could have 200. Signing up with the group today simply means advocating a rail agenda (or, keeping track of the mailings of those who advocate a rail agenda). The wall, message board, and photos area - all which are functions served here as part of my hybrid approach to Web 2.0 incorporation, are disabled there. For now, signing up with the group is simply a way to roster yourself as a pro-rail or rail-interest citizen of Tampa and Hillsborough County.
If you're on Facebook, go join.
Also, consider helping to promote the concept of Sun Rail, a central Florida rail project that wouldn't hurt if not help populating Tampa and Hillsborough County with rail. You can read about their group here.
