In case you haven't seen it, HART recently posted an announcement on its Facebook page regarding a new website covering progress on its Northeast and West Corridors alternatives analysis. In other words, a site devoted to progress on the studies of corridors in consideration for light rail (and, more imminently, BRT) in Hillsborough County.
You can check out the new web page here (the URL is officially www.gohartaa.org).

It covers the sorts of things Hillsborough needs to wade through on its way to actually implementing such a system, and you'll certainly appreciate it for its wealth of information. But what you'll really dig are the renderings of a HART-sported light rail car that really brings home the possibilities you as a Hillsborough County resident may soon have a chance to enjoy.
While you're checking it all out anyway, why not spend a few minutes filling out the study form on its comments page. It's a chance to participate while providing much needed information to the study process.
And While I'm Posting...
I wanted to block quote from a TR poster identifying himself as Bob Lasher (of the same name as one affiliated with the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority). I made some glowing and deserving comments regarding Shelton Quarles's role as first Chair of the authority. But it's true, the "first generation" of authority members and body as a whole should not be eclipsed.
For this I give Bob, who originally made this comment to my previous post, the stage briefly before I head to the gym!
Thanks for the kind words. I want to make sure that all of the elected
officials involved from the seven county region as well as TBARTA
Director, Bob Clifford and the staff from partner agencies like Jacobs
get props too. They've all worked unbelievably hard.- Bob Lasher
Actually, thank you Bob for taking the time to post and to recognize the important work the body has done, and the emphasis on team work that Shelton himself would cajole, (as an expert!).
