a secretive plan to build another sprawling highway without any consideration or embrace for a supplemental mass transit component, Orlando is busy diversifying its transportation solutions with a new commuter rail agenda.
The
news that Orlando will begin to seriously tackle and implement commuter rail broke last week when Jeb Bush jumped out of a cake to endorse the plan. This after an Orlando/CSX deal was reached to share its trackage.
In
this editorial by the St. Pete Times's Robert Trigaux, it's speculated quite appropriately that Tampa had better be willing to take a back seat to urban development while Orlando does things right!
