Kudos to the map of Tampa's old street car system. I was astonished to see how many hours it ran. How wonderful it would be to have public transportation actually running in the late night/ early morning hours. That is something the current bus system seriously lacks. I feel strongly that public transportation should run at least as long as an hour past bar closings. It would seriously cut back on drunk driving if people could take public transit (even with existing busses) to and from their favorite bars and nightclubs. It is also an important thing for the many night workers we have in the city. I remember how frustrating it was for me to get off work at even 8 PM and not have a bus to take home. And the many nights I spent at ybor bars til 3 AM in my younger years could have been a lot safer for me had there been a system to get me safely home. We should address these concerns when planning a future rail system, or even revamping the busses.

Looking at the 'completed system' popup, I'm surprised there's no plan to provide a streetcar link to Union Station or the Marion Transit Center. Intermodal transportation, ya know?

The Historic cars look fine in Ybor in a kinda Disney World way. But they look corny everywhere else. Please bring on the Modern Cars. Tampa has a need to look progressive already.
